CS MEETING WITH HEADS OF ALL SAGAs UNDER THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRY

Today, the PS for Industry, Dr. Juma Mukhwana joined the CS for MITI Hon. Rebecca Miano for a meeting with all heads of SAGAs under the State Department of Industry.  The two asked the SAGAs to accelerate industrialization in the country and to incorporate the bottom-up economic transformation agenda into their work plans.
The Ministry of Investments, Trade and Industry is poised to play a pivotal role in driving our economy forward with a targeted contribution of 15% to the GDP by 2027, solely from the manufacturing sector.
CS  Hon. Miano, recognizing the paramount importance of good governance in public sector management and the consequential impact on strategic success, emphasized that all SAGAs shall rely on the principles of good governance, adopt best practices and leverage capacity for innovation and adaptability. These cornerstones form the bedrock upon which we stand to fulfill our mandate and serve the people of Kenya.
